August so soon?

      It is hard to believe but we are only 2 weeks from the 2018 fair.  What an exciting time for us here at the coffeehouse!  Everyone is hard at work preparing, and you have all been great offering your ideas and suggestions.  Stay tuned for our fair menu announcement.
     Dinners have been going so well; we are really pleased how Hardwick has turned out to support us.  Hopefully, our rotating menu provides some tasty options to give your hot kitchens a break on Thursday evenings.  One of the photos here is of the signboard we used for that week's menu, and the other is a plate of chicken street tacos.  Such a yummy dinner!  Steph and Em are hard at work creating a new menu each week but if you have an idea that we should consider, we'd love to hear it.
     As the summer goes on, we have also created different drink options to try.  There are the weekly latte flavors that seem pretty popular.  From the Almond Joy Iced Latte to the Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Latte, the different combinations are a sweet way to beat the heat!  For a more adult offering, we have added some of the summer beer flavors to quench your afternoon thirst and make a weekly sangria to try.  Does it get any better than sitting on the porch with a view of the common with an iced, cold drink in your hand?
     Having just celebrated our 1 year anniversary, I'm hoping you have stopped in to see some new faces in the kitchen.  Of course, we still have Stephanie as our general manager and along with assistant manager, Emily, working behind the counter most days, our crew will be growing.  If you see a new face, know that everyone is fully trained to still provide exactly what you have ordered and interested to please.  Having been working at the coffeehouse the last couple of weeks and due to return in a few days, I can honestly say that this team is the entire reason we can move forward into our 2nd year.  They are the BEST!
     As with every post I write, I want to send my gratitude for such a great response to everything we try.  Your support is so important to us and means the world to me.  Your words of encouragement really help to keep us striving to improve.  I hope you will stop in soon even just to say hello.  See you on the Common!
